Graduated in law from the University of Leuven in 1991.

Holds the certificate of special training in juvenile law.

Obtained the university certificate of mediator in family matters at Ghent University in 2013.

Obtained the university certificate of mediator in civil and commercial matters at Ghent University in 2014.

In 2018, she further completed her academic track with a Master-na-Master in Company Law at K.U. Leuven.

In 2020, she obtained with distinction a Postgraduate Certificate in Insurance and Liability Law at U.I. Antwerp.

Her native language is Dutch and she also works in English and French.
