Vacancy for trainee lawyer/associate in insolvency law

Due to the continued growth of our firm and the increasing number of cases, Reyns Advocaten is looking for a lawyer specialized in insolvency law to further strengthen the team.

As a member of our Insolvency team, you will work on substantively strong and often complex cases, including:

  • Application of the Law on Judicial Reorganization (Book XX CEL) and related procedures.
  • Advising companies facing financial difficulties.
  • Assisting companies confronted with insolvent business partners.
  • Providing support in bankruptcies and assisting the trustees within the firm.
  • Representing shareholders, directors, and creditors in insolvency proceedings.

Depending on your background and experience, you will take on tailored responsibility, with room to further specialize in corporate and insolvency law.

Do you have the ambition to eventually be appointed as a trustee, liquidator, or administrator?
If so, we offer you the opportunity and guidance to actively develop this role, with involvement in bankruptcy cases and support from experienced trustees within the firm.

Profile:

  • You hold a Belgian Master of Laws.
  • Experience or demonstrable affinity with corporate and/or insolvency law is an asset.
  • You are interested in both advisory work and litigation.
  • You work accurately, communicate effectively, and like to take responsibility.
  • You function well within a team-oriented environment, with room for autonomy.
  • Thorough knowledge of Dutch and a good command of French and/or English are an advantage.
